Worth the hype, I used to use another brand of security cameras but Ring's app is very easy to use, the recording and audio quality are high and i like that we can adjust the sensitivity of the motion-detecting to our own preference as to not get bombarded with motion detection notifications. With my other cameras I was worried they'd miss recording something important but ring's algorithm does a good job at collecting the correct video footage you'd want. Very satisfied and will likely purchase more ring brand cameras.

This thing is great, I wish I had bought one years ago. Very easy to set up. The app on your phone is very easy to use. I am considering buying more for indoor security camera use, it would be great for that also. I recommend buying the indoor chime to use with this product, so that you know when someone is at your door when you are sleeping or away from your phone.

I waited around for someone to help me install this...and decided to just give it a try myself, and it couldn't have been easier! Works great and I know when someone approaches the door, or delivers a package. The only negative is that it "announces" me every time I come and go. LOL Maybe I should change the ring tone so I'm not constantly hearing "Deck the Halls with Boughs of Holly."
